Black Dog 04:30
Black dog - don’t want you round no more Go home - get up, move out and go I say goodbye to you in the evening just to wake to you once more Black dog - you’ve been scratching in my yard Scram dog - but you never run too far You’ve got a mortgage on my lifestyle and you make my life so hard Bad dog - got your teeth around my heel So tight - till I can hardly feel You might say you see no hound dog - but I know that he’s for real Black dog - I’m gonna call up the city pound You’re a loose dog - and I’d rather see you bound And if you ain’t got no licence - that man will track you down

Charles Atlas, where are you now I’ve needed you since I don’t know how long Charles Atlas, it seems to me That you chose to disappear From the back of my magazine Pseudo hope for a weakling teen Picture me upon the beach Pretty girl within reach Along comes Buster with a tan Perfect post adolescent man Knocks me down, steps on my hand Kicks the ground, face full of sand Bigger chest and quadriceps Yours to own in three easy steps Send the money, receive the pack Exercise till you heart attack They find your corpse flat on its back Death by dumb bell and punch bag Charles Atlas, oh can it be That I too could be like thee From a nine stone lad to a hunk of beef But I guess I’d still be a coward underneath The fake tan and the polished teeth Complete with pecs and a borrowed self belief The insult that made a man of Mac Still had me down flat on my back Saw that jerk take the girl from me Something snapped inside to set me free Now she says she’ll marry me A man with thin legs and the muscles of a flea

I’m ready for the summer Feel it in the breeze Mama Clara was right It’s time to live with ease I’m ready for the summer I’m ready for it now
4.
Got to capture this moment Got to write it all down In case I lose it completely Never to be found Got to capture this rainfall And remember the sound Never feels so good Until you’re beaten broken down Got to capture this moment Hold it in my hands Hold them up to the heavens Bring them down to the land Got no claim on tomorrow I don’t own what is past Holding on to this moment Don’t let it go too fast Got a picture of us laughing And the book about the boy Mighty river in between us Lord only knows why

Shine a little light today Make somebody's world okay Shine a little light today Shine...
6.
Positronic 03:04
Looking out from a space station Rescued by God and my escape pod From a dying ship That's out there somewhere And will rust and divide But I am alive and no longer alone
7.
Hey hey hey - the wind and the rain Hey hey hey - the wind and the rain Hey hey hey - the wind and the rain Hey hey hey - the wind and the rain When I was a little baby boy Hey hey - the wind and the rain A foolish thing was just a toy It rained, rained every day When I came to be a man Hey hey - the wind and the rain I was a gambler and they put me down It rained, rained every day When I found me a sweet little girl Hey hey - the wind and the rain Foolish pride brought me down in the world It rained, rained every day When I lay down upon my bed Hey hey - the wind and the rain Those jerks still had their whiskey heads It rained, rained every day Long ago when the world began Hey hey - the wind and the rain But that's all one, my song is done I'll try to please you every day

If you see me do not stop me I have somewhere to go A peaceful place out in the country My dappled Forgandenny home In my youth, the days seemed longer And the trees and sky and fields were mine Nowadays the world spins faster With a blink and miss it summertime Sunshine change my misconception That this world is cold and grey Thrushes, blackbirds, sing your hearts out Urge my soul to do the same Soon the leaves will all turn gold And darker skies will steal the day Through the winter I will long for A Forgandenny summer’s day

Azure blue instead of black and grey Check my pulse – I am alive today All is well even when it’s not For the battle has been won even when it’s being fought “It’s a choice,” let the foolish say But who would choose to even feel this way I’m alright, I’ve just got things to do Like batten down the hatches and hold on to something true ‘Cause here comes the storm from the back of my head Full of heat and rage that turns an angry red Pass me by instead Knocked for six, seven, eight and nine Tell the world that I’m doing fine Grit and blues occupy my soul Leftover dust and debris from a storm that took its toll Azure blue – back in the sky Check my pulse – am I still alive? Morning star to the setting sun Why must I still keep fighting when the battle has been won? ‘Cause here comes the storm from the back of my head Full of heat and rage that turns an angry red Pass me by instead

about

Several years in the making, this album sees Scottish singer/songwriter Lins Honeyman team up with local producer Gary Robertson for a collection tracks that take Lins away from his natural acoustic habitat and into the more electronic realms of Gary's musical world.

Songs such as "Charles Atlas Where Are You Now" and the Shakespeare-influenced "The Wind And The Rain" have been a staple of Lins' live set over the years and have been dissected, doctored and reassembled here by Gary with striking results.

Other tracks like "Storm From The Back Of My Head" and "Calm Before" are newer collaborative creations whilst the likes of "Beaten Broken Down" and the sci-fi "Positronic" see Lins venture into electronica territory on his own.

A number of guest artists feature including Les Dalziel, Simon Kennedy (from The Simon Kennedy Band), Chicago-based musician Jed Brewer, rapper MP Free and rising AI star Cynthia Ettick.
