House Music is a live album by Scottish singer/songwriter Lins Honeyman recorded solely at house concerts that he and a handful of other artists have appeared at over the years. Performed in the intimacy of living rooms the length and breadth of Scotland, these songs – completely acoustic and with no overdubs whatsoever – reflect what it’s like to be in the front row of a house concert. The odd audience cough, the sound of plates being cleared away or unexpected bit of banter all add to the overall feel.

Lins is joined on House Music by Perthshire-based singer Morna Strachan, Glasgow singer/songwriter Bruce Cameron, double bassist and guitarist Andy McCully and percussionist Jon Assheton whilst renowned singer/songwriter Michael McMillan makes a cameo on one track.

Featuring alongside Honeyman originals are unique covers of tunes by the likes of Chuck Berry, Dusty Springfield, Buddy Holly, The Coasters and Labi Siffre whilst a couple of traditional blues numbers get the house concert treatment – often involving the use of a ukulele, kazoo or stripped-down drum kit!
